------------------------------------ The Bahá'í Faith has been actively interested in Race Unity since its beginning in 1844. In 1991 the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States issued a statement about Race Unity: The Vision of Race Unity America's Most Challenging Issue. For additional information about the Bahá'í Faith call 1-800-22-UNITE.
Bahá'ís believe that racism is fundamentally a spiritual problem. When the underlying spiritual dynamics of racism are changed then the racist is changed. These pages are for everyone involved in race unity activities, not just for Bahá'ís!
If you have already formed an Institute for the Healing of Racism or regularly conduct other race unity activities in your community, we hope that you will contact us so that we may add your group's activities to this web site. If you are interested in forming an Institute, please contact us after reviewing the Useful Materials. Facilitator training may be available as well.
Race Unity Day, founded by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States, is celebrated the second Sunday in June around the world.
Useful Materials also contains a bibliography of readings on race unity.

An automated e-mail distribution list, race-unity@yahoogroups.com, is now functional, to allow communication among people with race unity as a goal in their lives. If you would like to be included in this list, please send a request to subscribe to race-unity-request@yahoogroups.com, providing your name and city.
To learn about additions to this site automatically (new IHR localities and events are added often), register the activities page with "URL-minder: Your Own Personal Web Robot" at http://www.netmind.com/URL-minder/
